Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France was born on the 9th August, 1976. Audrey is the oldest child out of 4. From a very young age, her dentist doctors parents and teacher mother encouraged her passion of theatre and drama. This passion that overshadowed her initial wish to become a an animal scientist. The rise was swift for her to become an internationally renowned young actor. Following her studies in 1998 she took part in a French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers that was supported by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching acting professionally. Though she was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has distanced herself from her religious upbringing and has stated she's not Catholic. Apart from her acting career she also pursued modelling. She modelled of L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and is known as "The Chanel Muse". Recently, at the Arles Arts Festival she exhibited a collection of photographs under the name Superficial. In her photographs, she focuses primarily on celebrity and the spotlight. The camera is turned towards journalists who scrutinized her during her rise to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major performance in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie is an international box office success and has been lauded at numerous award shows around the world. It's the most-grossing French film made in America. After the film, she appeared in many films that ranged from British dramas to Jean Pierre Jeunet's film Un long dimanche de fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and starred with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
